Menorca Mahon Airport (MAH) - Guide to Menorca (MAH) Airport

Just south of Mao, Mahon Airport (MAH) is a small but efficiently busy terminal offering frequent flights and connections to and from the island. The two-floor terminal building is nestled between palm trees, displaying a botanical setting and giving it a feel of being close to nature.

There are regular ferries to and from mainland Spain and the neighbouring islands of Mallorca and Ibiza. Once in Menorca, there is no shortage of transportation. Visitors can chose from local buses, metered taxis and hire cars or alternatively between scooter or mountain bike rentals. The island's numerous interconnected roads allow easy vehicular access between towns, villages, beaches, hiking trails and other places of interest. Some streets are extremely narrow compared to those in major European cities and visitors should take extra care when driving or riding in rented vehicles.

Some big-name car rental services are located on the island and visitors can easily locate providers such as Avis, Hertz and Budget. If you are from a country outside of the EU, you would need to show an International Driving Permit in order to drive on the streets of Menorca. It is best not to drive between 07:00 and 09:00 and 16:30 to 19:30, as these times are considered to be Menorca's rush hours.

Information regarding getting around the island, as well as bus and ferry schedules can be obtained from the island's tourist information offices or at the airport.
